一、课程的性质和目的    

大学英语3是以英语语言知识与应用技能、学习策略和跨文化交际为主要内容，以外语教学理论为指导，并集多种教学模式和教学手段为一体的教学体系。其教学目的是培养学生具有较强的英语综合应用能力，使他们能用英语有效地进行口头和书面的信息交流，同时增强自主学习能力和综合文化素养，以适应今后工作、进一步学习和进行国际交流的需要。    

学生在完成《大学英语3》阶段的学习之后，适应大学英语的教学模式和课程要求，并已学会自主学习。到《大学英语3》学习结束时，学生在读、写、译等方面应能够达到大学英语三级水平。        

二、课程教学内容及各章节学时分配    

《大学英语3》以英语语言知识、应用技能、跨文化交际、学习策略以及语言实践为主要内容。语言知识部分包括重点语法知识、重点句型、词汇积累与扩展、词类活用等；应用技能部分包括听说技能，读写技能、一定的翻译能力；文化部分包括课文文化背景知识、中西方文化差异等，培养学生学习、体验、欣赏英语和英美文化的能力；学习策略部分以大学英语四级备考及应试策略为主，提高学生的应试能力；语言实践方面，组织学生开展形式多样的语言实践活动，如电影赏析、电影配音、情景表演、主题演讲、学生课件Presentation、英文歌曲表演等，以提高学生英语学习兴趣，营造快乐的英语学习氛围。

三、课程基本要求    

《大学英语3》是大学英语教学的第三阶段，是大学英语课程教学的提高阶段。通过本课程的学习，学生应该达到下列要求：    

1、听力理解能力：能听懂英语授课，能听懂日常英语谈话和一般性题材的讲座，能听懂语速适中(每分钟180词左右)的英语广播和电视节目，能掌握其中心大意，抓住要点。能运用较多的听力技巧。    

2、口语表达能力：能在学习过程中用英语交流，并能就某一主题进行讨论，能就日常话题用英语进行交谈，能经准备后就所熟悉的话题作简短发言，表达比较清楚，语音、语调基本正确。能在交谈中使用较多的会话策略。    

3、阅读理解能力：能读懂一般性题材的英文文章，阅读速度达到每分钟100词。在快速阅读篇幅较长、难度略低的材料时，阅读速度达到每分钟120词。能就阅读材料进行略读和精读。能借助词典阅读本专业的英语教材和题材熟悉的英文报刊文章，掌握中心大意，理解主要事实和有关细节。能读懂工作、生活中常见的应用文体的材料。能在阅读中使用有效的阅读方法。    

4、书面表达能力：能完成一般性写作任务，能描述个人经历、观感、情感和发生的事件等，能写常见的应用文，能在半小时内就一般性话题或提纲写出120-150词左右的短文，内容基本完整，中心思想明确，用词恰当，语意连贯。能掌握基本的写作技能。    

5、翻译能力：能借助词典对题材熟悉的文章进行英汉互译，译文基本准确，无重大的理解和语言表达错误。    

6、推荐词汇量：掌握的词汇量应达到约3800个单词和1500个词组(含中学应掌握的词汇)，其中约2500个单词为积极词汇，即要求学生能够在认知的基础上在口头和书面表达两个方面熟练运用的词汇。    

   

四、本课程与其它有关课程的关系    

《大学英语3》是一门必修基础课，它与其它的课程学习有着紧密地联系，英语读写能力的提高和听说能力的提高相辅相成。    

1、《全新版大学英语（综合教程第三册）》每个单元由同一题材的两篇文章组成。课文A为精读材料，配有阅读理解、词汇、完型、翻译、写作等多种练习；课文B为泛读材料。课文前系统介绍各种基本阅读技能，课文后配有阅读理解练习题。《全新版大学英语（综合教程第三册）》把精读、泛读融为一体，使听、说、读、写、译五种技能的训练和培养围绕着精读课文进行，重点培养读、写、译的语言能力。    

2、《21世纪大学英语（应用型视听说教程第三册）》与《全新版大学英语（综合教程第三册）》内容紧密结合，主题相关，以功能意念训练贯穿始终，其内容包括Listening, Viewing、listening and speaking, Speaking workshop, Quiz四个部分，采用了视、听、说相结合的方法，充分利用现代化教学手段，旨在全面提高学生的听说能力。    

3、《全新版大学英语（综合教程第三册）》与《21世纪大学英语（应用型视听说教程第三册）》分工不同，各有侧重点，相互间又紧密配合，形成一个有机的整体，以实现大纲规定的大学英语教学的目的，即：“培养学生具有较强的阅读能力，一定的听、说、写、译能力，使他们能以英语为工具交流信息。”

③课堂语言实践内容：大学英语学习指导、学习策略、口语实践活动、英语电影片段赏析、四六级考试应试技巧等。    

   

七、成绩考核方式    

本课程考试采用期末笔试和平时成绩相结合的手段，期末考试形式为笔试，成绩总分为100分，题型以大学英语四、六级考试题型为参考，内容涵盖基础知识和能力的测试。期末卷面成绩70%，平时成绩30%（考勤、作业、课堂活动和口语测试，每一项占平时成绩的25%）。
